due to circumstances surrounding many social media sites, i have been meaning to create a blog for a while now. cohost's impending closure was the last push i needed to properly start assembling one. i'm using zonelets for this purpose, both to ease navigation and to streamline making the whole thing look presentable.

i'm going to use this blog as a space for sharing updates on my projects first and foremost, though there will almost certainly be other things (e.g., discussion of music or games i like, small personal updates if something significant happens, maybe some sort of music theory or production things?).

so! with that in mind, i have some general updates on the progress i am making with my music. my first full-length album is up to 15 songs with voice fully recorded (out of 20 total). in connection with this, i have figured out solutions to some longstanding problems i was having with my vocal recording and mixing process, so certain parts of the process should be easier. on the other hand, however, two of the remaining songs are among the hardest on the album. one particularly important example is determining a signal chain for processing my (often very weak) screams to sound presentable in a full mix.

i don't mean to write much here for a first post as this is in large part meant to get my bearings with using zonelets, so i will end here. i will try to keep updating regularly.
